Environmental education in Brazil: trends and gaps from 2015 to 2019

Here we carried out a review of the open-access literature concerning Environmental Education in prominent Brazilian journals from 2015 to 2019, aiming provide trends field Research Brazil and highlighted well-studied areas potential research gaps. We found total 695 articles four scientific that met selection criteria, identified five key results: i) predominance qualitative approach; ii) sex-biased authorship skewed towards women; iii) high educational attainment, led by authors with doctoral degrees; iv) majority affiliated public institutions, v) institutions at southeast region Brazil. Therefore, our results highlight major gaps be filled are lack quantitative studies, low production private universities, centralization south regions.
